How Do You Delete Rows or Columns From a Surface?

To delete a row or column from a surface:

1.   Select the Surf-Delete Row/Col command.

2.   Position the cursor over the row or column to delete and click the left mouse button.

3.   Repeat step 2 as many times as you want. The Delete Row/Col command will stay active or current until you select another command.

Note 1: Be careful to pick the row or column to delete away from an edit point at the intersection of a row and column. Otherwise the program won’t know whether you are selecting the row or the column.

Note 2: Remember that a NURB surface works best when the spacing of the rows and columns are fairly even.

Note 3: When you delete a row or column in a surface, the surface changes shape. This must be done to keep the other rows and columns in the same location. Actually, it is impossible (in general) to maintain the same surface shape with less rows or columns.
